In the first half of 2012 high-speed trains will be launched between the city-hosts of EURO 2012 in Ukraine.
This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov. According to him, it will be possible to overcome the distance between Kyiv and Lviv by train within only four and a half hours.
"The host cities of UEFA EURO 2012 will get a high-speed transport connection. We are actively working with the South Korean company" Hyundai ", from which we have bought ten trains for the UEFA European Football Championship. In terms of comfort and care there is nothing of the kind in today’s Ukraine. It is not only the best comfort, but Ukrainians will spend less time travelling. Next spring, it will be possible to get from Lviv to Kyiv within only 4.5 hours," – says Mr. Kolesnikov.
